Our founder is no longer

It is with saddened hearts we must announce the passing of LeRoy L. Peters, P.E., “Pete”, and founder of
Peters Engineering, on June 16, 2022.

He has inspired and been a mentor to many over the years and worked with a very broad base of clients and
colleagues from which some deep-rooted relationships were formed. Starting the company in 1969 he had
unknowingly laid the solid foundation for our continued success over the course of our next 50 years and
counting.

Very early in my career, I was told by Dean F. Unger AIA, one of my father’s good friends and clients, the
reasons Pete was his consultant were first, he was a “hell of an engineer”; and the second was his integrity.
I have carried that with me since. It made me proud then and makes me proud today.
His legacy lives on with us at Peters Engineering as we move forward.
